Job Description

We are seeking a Homologation and Testing Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in EV testing, regulatory compliance, and product certification

Homologation Management: Lead the homologation process for Revolt Motors electric two-wheelers, ensuring compliance with national and international vehicle regulations, including safety, environmental, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards.
Testing & Validation: Conduct and oversee comprehensive testing of EVs, including performance, durability, environmental, and safety testing, to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. Coordinate lab tests, field tests, and vehicle trials.
Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date on the latest vehicle standards and regulations (e.g., AIS, ECE, SAE, UN-ECE) for electric two-wheelers and ensure all necessary certifications are acquired for vehicle models across different regions.
Test Planning & Documentation: Develop detailed test plans, procedures, and protocols. Generate and maintain accurate test reports and documentation to meet regulatory submission requirements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, product design, and quality assurance teams to address any non-compliance issues and ensure that vehicles are designed to meet applicable standards from the start of the development process.
Audit & Inspection Support: Manage third-party inspections, audits, and inspections by regulatory bodies. Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities during the homologation process.
Certification Process Management: Lead the process of obtaining the necessary certifications for different markets, including emissions, noise, and safety certifications. Work with authorities to resolve any issues or roadblocks.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the production and quality teams to ensure that vehicles meet homologation standards during manufacturing and pre-delivery inspection.
Reporting & Communication: Prepare and present reports on testing and homologation progress, compliance status, and any issues to senior management. Communicate with stakeholders about timelines and regulatory changes.
Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify and address any regulatory or testing-related risks early in the product development cycle to avoid delays in market launch.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to testing procedures, tools, and homologation processes to enhance efficiency and compliance. Keep track of evolving regulations and make adjustments to ensure continuous compliance.
