5G Protocol Stack Engineer - Network Programming (8-12 yrs)

Job Description :

As a 5G Protocol Stack Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing 5G Core network functions.

Your role will cover :

- Developing and optimizing 5G protocol stack layers (NAS, NGAP, GTP, PFCP, HTTP/2, SCTP).

- Implementing and fine-tuning 5G Core functions (AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF, NRF, etc.).

- Working on network slicing, MEC, and cloud-native deployments (Kubernetes, Docker).

- Debugging and troubleshooting 5G Core issues with tools like Wireshark and tcpdump.

- Ensuring compliance with 3GPP standards.

- Collaborating with RAN, Cloud, and DevOps teams for seamless integration.

What You Bring :

- 8-10 years of experience in 5G Core/Telecom development with deep knowledge of protocols and architecture.

- Hands-on expertise in C, C++, Python, or Go for network function development.

- Strong knowledge of cloud-native telecom technologies (Kubernetes, NFV, SDN, AWS/Azure/GCP).

- Experience with high-performance, low-latency networking solutions.

- Strong debugging & performance tuning skills (Wireshark, tcpdump).

Bonus Points for :

- Experience with O-RAN/Open RAN integration.

- Contributions to open-source telecom projects.
