Job Description :

We are looking for a seasoned and experienced professional Front End Developer-Team Lead.

This applicant will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a small team of front-end developers on and off shore, to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality web applications.

The role requires a hands-on approach, where you will actively contribute to development tasks while providing guidance and mentorship to your team members.

You will be responsible for driving the technical direction of projects, ensuring UI development guidelines, best practices, and standards are followed, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive and evolve the company's brand throughout the user experience.

In addition to your technical expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, you will have strong leadership and project management skills to deliver high-quality web solutions.

The position will report to the Technology Lead, and will also work as a liaison between the Development and QA teams.

You will collaborate with designers to transform design mockups and wireframes into responsive and interactive web applications, ensuring a seamless user experience.

The role is onsite Monday - Friday 2pm-11pm IST.

Responsibilities :

- Manage a team of two front-end developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment

- Lead by example, actively participating in the development of front-end solutions

- Ensure the successful execution of front-end development tasks, distribute work assignments, and monitor progress adhering to project timelines and milestones

- Promote a positive team culture that values communication, accountability, and continuous improvement

- Work with digital designers and developers to implement compelling designs and innovative solutions for the website and help maintain all user-facing features

- Develop CSS and asset libraries as well as produce reusable code to help maintain consistency in brand execution

- Communicate with clients in order to execute desired results for UI features provided in our SaaS offerings

- Assist QA to test pages on multiple browsers and displays across mobile, tablet, and desktop devices; help identify problems and provide recommendations and solutions

- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating them into the team's workflow where applicable

Who You Are :

- Previous experience in a Leadership and Management role A MUST

- 8+ year experience in front-end development (HTML5, CSS3, Javascript)

- Ability to balance hands-on development with leadership responsibilities

- Great communication and organization skills, with strong attention to detail

- Solid understanding of implementing best-practice, high performance, responsive interfaces for the modern web

- Expert in HTML with the ability to write clean and well-documented code

- Mastery in CSS frameworks and preprocessors, such as LESS, Flexbox, CSS Grid, etc.

- Expertise in JavaScript as well as modern JS frameworks/libraries (JQuery, React, etc.)

- Highly knowledgeable of the principles of design, responsive design, and best practices

- Ability to convert a digital mockup into a functional user-facing feature on the website

- Understanding of SEO principles as well as accessibility requirements (WCAG ADA)

- Working knowledge of Email HTML and Email Development

- Ability to present code and handoff solutions to developers

- Up to date with the latest UI best practices, techniques, and technologies

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while following priorities

- Team player with a positive attitude

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

- Understanding of Source Control and Branching Strategy
