Backend Development Lead (Python & Azure Cloud)

About the Role:

We are looking for a Backend Development Lead with expertise in Python and Azure Cloud. This role involves leading a team of developers, building scalable applications, designing cloud-based architectures, and creating Proof of Concepts (POCs) for new technology solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of backend developers, ensuring best coding practices.
• Design, develop, and maintain backend systems using Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI).
• Build and optimize RESTful and GraphQL APIs for efficient system communication.
• Architect and deploy applications on Azure Cloud, leveraging services like Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure DevOps.
• Ensure applications can handle large amounts of data and traffic efficiently.
• Manage and optimize databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, or CosmosDB.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, JWT, etc.).
• Develop and test new ideas (POCs) to evaluate the best technical solutions.
• Work with DevOps teams to automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize system performance.

What You Need:

• Strong experience in backend development using Python (Django, Flask, or FastAPI).
• Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud services (Azure Functions, App Services, AKS, CosmosDB, etc.).
• Experience leading a development team and managing projects.
• Expertise in designing and managing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Strong database experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or CosmosDB.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to develop Proof of Concepts (POCs) and evaluate new technology solutions.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
