Senior Platform Engineer - Middleware

Qvantel is seeking a highly skilled Middleware Components Infrastructure Engineer to join our global platform services team. This role demands expertise in middleware technologies and infrastructure components, including a wide range of tools, platforms, and systems, to support and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient middleware environments.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage, configure, maintain, and optimize middleware components across various environments.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of middleware platforms.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and infrastructure teams to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
• Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and migrations for middleware components.
• Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline middleware processes and improve efficiency.
• Monitor middleware systems for performance, health, and security, responding promptly to alerts and incidents.
• Document processes, configurations, and troubleshooting guides for middleware environments.
• Support deployment pipelines and CI/CD processes where middleware components are integral.
• Manage and deploy enterprise messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or IBM MQ.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement middleware solutions that meet business and technical requirements.

Required Skills:

• Extensive hands-on experience with middleware tools and platforms listed above.
• Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
• Proven expertise in managing and scaling highly available middleware environments.
• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or similar.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
• Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Mesos).
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good communication and collaboration abilities for cross-functional team interactions.
• Familiarity with messaging and integration platforms like Kafka, RabbitMQ

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in telecom (BSS/OSS) environments.
• Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong programming skills in Python or Ruby.

Required Experience:

• 8+ years of relevant experience in middleware or infrastructure engineering.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
