Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned QA professional with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to testing. The Senior QA Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our Windows Quicken application. Responsibilities:

Act as an advocate for the end-user by ensuring that the Quicken windows application meets their needs, expectations, and usability standards.

Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies for testing Windows desktop applications, ensuring coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.

Create detailed and well-structured test cases to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of the Quicken application. Continuously update these test cases, findings, and test artifacts accurately and comprehensively.

Execute manual and automated test cases to identify defects and ensure the quality of the desktop application. Conduct functional, regression, integration, and system testing as required.

Develop and maintain automation scripts using Windows App Driver to automate repetitive test scenarios.

Identify, report, and track software defects using Jira throughout the software development lifecycle. Work closely with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve issues.

Conduct performance testing to assess the responsiveness, scalability, and stability of the desktop application under various load conditions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and technical support to understand requirements, clarify issues, and ensure alignment on quality goals.

Stay abreast of industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends. Propose and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.

Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior QA team members. Share knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement within the QA team.

Qualifications:

Self-starter attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for quality assurance activities. Ability to work independently and proactively identify and address testing challenges.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and management.

Minimum 6 to 8 years of proven working experience in manual and automation testing of Windows/Desktop-based applications.

Strong understanding of the QA process and a testing mindset to ensure the quality and reliability of software products.

Experience in planning and executing test activities, including test case design, test execution, defect tracking and reporting.

Hands-on knowledge of automated testing for Windows, web, and mobile applications. Ability to develop and implement test automation frameworks, guidelines, and standards to streamline the automation process.
