Sdet Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with expertise in API Automation and Mobile Automation to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the trading/financial services domain and a passion for ensuring the quality and reliability of our trading platforms. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to design, develop, and execute automated tests for both API and mobile applications.

Key Responsibilities:

API Automation:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for RESTful and WebSocket APIs.
• Validate API responses, status codes, and performance under various conditions.
• Integrate API tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
• Collaborate with developers to ensure proper API documentation and testability.

Mobile Automation:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts for mobile applications (iOS and Android) using tools like Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Perform end-to-end testing of mobile applications, including UI, functionality, and performance.
• Ensure compatibility across different devices, OS versions, and screen resolutions.

Trading Domain Expertise:

• Leverage knowledge of trading platforms, financial instruments, and market data to create relevant test scenarios.
• Validate trading workflows, order management, and real-time market data updates.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and data security standards.

Test Framework Development:

• Build and enhance robust, scalable, and maintainable test automation frameworks.
• Implement best practices for test automation, including data-driven testing, keyword-driven testing, and behavior-driven development (BDD).

Collaboration & Communication:

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Provide detailed test reports and metrics to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in test automation and the trading domain.
• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
