SAP Technology Specialist

Work Schedule: 24 x 7 (Rotational Shift)

Location- Mumbai (Hybrid)

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SAP Technology Specialist to manage and optimize SAP technology environments. The role requires a strong understanding of SAP systems, databases, and related technologies to independently handle tasks such as system refreshes, database upgrades, SAP maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance analysis. This position demands excellent technical expertise, strong communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently handle complex tasks including system refreshes, database upgrades, SAP and database maintenance, support pack upgrades, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.
• Administer SAP databases by performing database upgrades, applying database maintenance, managing database performance, administering storage, and resolving database-related problems.
• Provide technical and customer support, ensuring the continuous monitoring and optimization of system performance.
• Perform SAP client administration tasks such as creating, copying, deleting, and exporting/importing clients.
• Respond to and manage application alerts, taking necessary actions to resolve issues.
• Apply and manage SAP maintenance tasks, including hot packages and kernel upgrades, following a structured methodology across all systems.
• Oversee overall system monitoring, including work processes, users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, and disk space.
• Analyze ABAP dumps, system logs, and error messages, offering solutions to system issues.
• Implement SAP OSS Notes based on customer requests, collaborating with specialists as needed.
• Apply and maintain certificates on SAP ABAP, JAVA, and Web Dispatcher components.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and procedures for all services provided to ensure smooth operational support.

Skills & Qualifications:

Must Have Skills:

• 4 to 8 years of SAP BASIS administration experience.
• A bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written).
• Extensive knowledge of IT systems and a solid understanding of SAP software, configuration, and maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows administration.
• Strong knowledge of one or more databases (SQL, MaxDB, DB2, Oracle, HANA, Sybase ASE) and related management tools.
• Basic understanding of SAP Security.
• Any SAP certifications in NetWeaver (NW) administration.
• Motivated and quick learner, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
