Vendor Development, Quality Engineering

Specialization in (1) raw material & fabrication and/or (2) casting/forging & machining and/or (3) OEM items would be given preference

Responsibilities:

Vendor Development

• Understand requirements
• Supplier assessment, report preparation and obtain approvals
• Put in place all our contracts / agreements with that selected vendor for compliance
• Share documents, negotiating contract terms.
• Issuing RFQ / RFP to shortlisted suppliers.
• Review quotes, shortlist vendors, negotiate with them.
• Sourcing and pricing approvals.
• Getting the item master data updated in ERP.
• Timely release of all POs in ERP
• Ensure all POs have been received by suppliers
• Ensure order confirmation from supplier
• Ensure all suppliers have the current release drawings
• Arrange for receipt of items against above orders, expedite where necessary
• Co-ordinate with quality, production, stores and suppliers to send back rejected items, arrange for timely replacements
• Payment related co-ordination
• Re-conciliation
• Lead time optimization / reduction projects
• Cost optimization / reduction projects
• Prepare supplier audit schedule / calendar along with Quality and share the same with suppliers
• Arrange planned supplier audits.
• Evaluating the supplier performance & supplier relationship management (SRM)

Quality Requirement

Inspection / Testing of products against applicable QAPs

• Inhouse inspection against identified QAP, update & maintain records
• Supplier onsite visit, conduct inspection against QAP; update & maintain records
• Supplier audits, evaluation, re-evaluation & qualification of Suppliers
• NCs follow-up, CAPA implementation monitoring both Internal & External
• Initiate, implement & monitor ECR; evaluate & validate ECM effectiveness
• Update, retain & maintain Product specific documentation
• Prepare, submit & obtain Customer approval on Product documentation
