Role & responsibilities
Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Prepare Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and detailed project schedules.
- Ensure proper alignment of project milestones and activities.
Coordination and Liaison:
- Coordinate with vendors, internal departments, and associates for project execution.
- Liaise with local bodies and regulatory agencies to obtain project clearances.
Monitoring and Control:
- Oversee project activities to ensure timely deliverables and adherence to schedules.
- Monitor and resolve conflicts among stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of project activities, modifications in existing plants, and improvements in new plants.
- Prepare detailed project records, meeting minutes (MOM), and progress reports.
Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with all stakeholders, including engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and vendors, to ensure project goals are met.
- Facilitate smooth communication across all project teams.
Technical Support and Implementation:
- Participate actively in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and operational phases of projects.
- Troubleshoot and implement improvements in plant operations.
Technology and Process Familiarity:
- Work on new technology projects with minimal supervision and drive innovation.
- Be conversant with unit operations and processes such as compressors, boilers, blowers, heat exchangers, filter presses, burners, pumps, cooling towers, and PSA nitrogen plants. Experience in handling fluidized bed systems is an added advantage.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience:
- Proven experience in handling EPC projects independently for process industries (Chemical, Refinery, Fertilizers, Power, etc.).
- Minimum 1 year of active usage exposure to project scheduling tools like MS Project or Primavera.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong coordination skills with internal and external teams, including engineering, QC, procurement, construction, and finance.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and meticulous maintenance of project documentation.
- Familiarity with processes involving industrial equipment such as compressors, boilers, pumps, and cooling towers.
Technical Aptitude:
- Good understanding of unit operations and processes in chemical or fertilizer/refinery plants.
- Flair for working on new technology projects and taking the initiative to drive project execution.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
