M365 IT Manager

OVERVIEW

Tech Consulting is a leading provider of technology solutions and services, connecting top-tier IT professionals with global enterprises. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated M365 IT Manager to oversee and manage IT infrastructure operations across multiple sites, including the USA, UK, India, and remote employees worldwide. This role requires expertise in M365, Office 365, Azure, Heroku, multi-site security, and firewalls.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cloud Infrastructure and Service Management (M365, Office 365, Azure)
• Manage and optimize cloud-based services: Oversee the integration, management, and optimization of Microsoft 365 (M365), Office 365, and Azure cloud services.
• Implement Office 365 tools: Configure and support various Office 365 tools such as Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive for collaboration and productivity.
• Monitor and maintain Azure infrastructure: Ensure availability, performance, and security of Azure resources, such as virtual machines, storage accounts, databases, and networking components.
• Automate cloud operations: Develop and implement automation for provisioning, monitoring, and scaling cloud infrastructure to optimize costs and efficiency.
• Manage user identity and access and maintain Azure Active Directory for user authentication and single sign-on across services.

Application Deployment and Management (Heroku)

• Oversee application deployment: Deploy and manage applications on the Heroku platform, ensuring smooth integration with other systems.
• Monitor app performance: Utilize Heroku tools and other monitoring software to keep track of app performance and handle scaling or troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintain development pipelines: Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines on Heroku to facilitate seamless updates and patches to applications.

Security and Compliance

• Ensure multi-site security: Implement and manage security protocols across multiple sites, ensuring proper encryption, access control, and monitoring.
• Configure and maintain firewalls: Set up and manage network firewalls to safeguard against unauthorized access, data leaks, and cyber threats. This could include both traditional and cloud-native firewalls.
• Risk assessment and mitigation: Regularly assess potential security vulnerabilities and work on reducing risk, such as securing data at rest and in transit and managing identity threats.
• Compliance monitoring: Ensure the organization is compliant with relevant security standards and regulations (such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2) and regularly audit access controls and security protocols.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Monitor and analyze cloud services: Utilize Azure Monitor, Office 365 admin tools, and other cloud monitoring services to keep track of system health, usage, and security.
• Generate reports: Regularly report on system performance, security incidents, compliance status, and resource usage to senior management.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues: Quickly respond to incidents or outages across cloud services and firewalls, diagnosing and resolving any issues that impact performance or security.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure management across global multi-site environments.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• Experience with M365: providing technical support to end-users across applications like Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
• Hands-on experience with Office 365, User Side (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Hands-on experience with End User Support, Windows 10 & 11, macOS
• End-User Device Support, i.e., laptops
• AWS (EC2, VPC, Billing & Cost Management) and Azure (Compute, Cost Management)
• Extensive experience with AWS, Azure, & Heroku cloud environments (VMs, PaaS, Kubernetes, serverless computing, etc.) is expert hands-on in firewall configuration, network security, VPNs, and endpoint protection.

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced global environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across time zones.
• Proven experience in mentoring IT teams and working cross-functionally with business stakeholders
