Job Description Mainframe Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Developer with expertise in COBOL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2 to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in mainframe development, debugging, and maintenance. Candidates with Microfocus COBOL experience will be given preference.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Develop, maintain, and enhance Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2.
✔ Analyze business requirements and translate them into efficient, scalable code.
✔ Work on Microfocus COBOL (Good to have) for modernization projects.
✔ Perform code debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting for mainframe applications.
✔ Ensure smooth integration between mainframe and other enterprise applications.
✔ Participate in client meetings, requirement analysis, and technical discussions.
✔ Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
✔ Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application enhancements and support.
✔ Provide technical support and maintenance for production systems.
✔ Document system processes, procedures, and configurations.
