The Director & Executive Producer in Media will lead the creative vision and production process across various media projects. This senior role combines the responsibilities of a director, overseeing creative direction and content quality, with that of an executive producer, ensuring the financial, logistical, and strategic success of media initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the creative direction of media projects, including TV shows, films, digital series, and branded content. Develop unique concepts, formats, and narratives that resonate with target audiences.
Supervise and guide creative teams, including writers, directors, producers, editors, and designers, ensuring cohesion and high-quality output.
Work closely with other executives, creative teams, and external partners to align creative ideas with business goals and audience needs.
Executive Production & Oversight:
Oversee all stages of production, from pre-production to post-production, ensuring projects meet deadlines, stay within budget, and maintain the highest quality standards.
Develop and manage production budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources. Negotiate contracts, secure funding, and manage financial oversight for each project.
Coordinate all logistical aspects of production, including talent, crew, locations, and equipment. Ensure that projects progress smoothly from concept to delivery.
Partner with senior leadership to define the strategic direction of media content, aligning with the company s overall objectives and target audience engagement goals.
Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and audience preferences. Use this information to inform content decisions and ensure the relevance and impact of media projects.
Ensure all media projects are aligned with the company s brand identity and messaging, maintaining consistency and high-quality standards across all content.
External Partnerships: Cultivate relationships with talent agencies, media outlets, and production companies. Negotiate and secure deals with key stakeholders, including talent, writers, and external collaborators.
Qualifications, Skills & Competencies:
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Media, Film Production, Communications, or a related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in media production, with at least 5 years in a leadership or executive role such as a Director or Executive Producer.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong creative vision and storytelling ability, with experience directing content across multiple formats (TV, digital, film, etc.).
Deep knowledge of media production processes, including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Proven experience in managing large teams, cross-functional collaboration, and fostering a creative environment.
Ability to navigate both the creative and business aspects of media production, ensuring the successful execution of projects.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to make data-driven decisions and adjust strategies for content success.
