Job Description

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Tech Recruiter to independently drive the hiring of niche and super-niche tech roles. This role demands expertise in data-driven hiring processes, deep technical hiring acumen, and excellent stakeholder management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and attracting top-tier engineering talent in specialized domains, optimizing hiring funnels, and collaborating with senior business and technology leaders to meet hiring goals effectively.


Key Responsibilities

1. Niche & Super-Niche Tech Hiring

  • Independently lead end-to-end hiring for highly specialised tech roles (e.g., AI/ML, Data Science, Platform Engineering, Product Management, Design & Research, etc.).
  • Build strong sourcing strategies to engage passive and hard-to-find talent across industries and the startup ecosystem.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and market intelligence to create targeted hiring approaches for each role.

2. Data-Driven Hiring Excellence

  • Establish and refine hiring metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline health tracking for continuous optimization.
  • Utilize ATS, recruitment analytics, and market benchmarking to improve sourcing efficiency and hiring speed.
  • Partner with the People Analytics team to derive insights and drive improvements in TA performance.

3. Stakeholder & Business Alignment

  • Act as a trusted advisor to Engineering and Product leadership, aligning hiring strategies with business goals.
  • Work closely with hiring managers to define ideal candidate personas, competency frameworks, and assessment criteria.
  • Drive interviewer training, feedback calibration, and structured hiring processes to ensure high-quality hiring decisions.

4. Market Intelligence & Employer Branding

  • Stay ahead of tech hiring trends, talent availability, and compensation benchmarks for niche roles.
  • Collaborate with the Employer Branding & Talent Marketing team to create targeted outreach campaigns.

5. Process Optimization & Compliance

  • Continuously refine recruitment workflows to improve efficiency and candidate experience.
  • Ensure compliance with hiring best practices, DEI initiatives, and internal policies.

Key Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in technical hiring, with a strong focus on niche and super-niche tech roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully hiring top-tier engineers in complex domains.
  • Deep expertise in sourcing methodologies (LinkedIn, GitHub, Kaggle, AI-powered sourcing tools, etc.).
  • Strong data orientation ability to track and optimize hiring funnels using ATS and analytics tools.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating with VP/CXO-level leaders.
  • Experience in structured hiring models, competency-based assessments, and interviewer training.
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on offer-to-joining ratio improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and manage multiple hiring priorities.
