TGT English Teacher

Role & responsibilities

Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English lessons for students in grades 6 to 10, in line with the school curriculum.

Foster a love for literature and language by encouraging students to read, write, and express themselves creatively.

Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.

Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes active participation and critical thinking.

Integrate technology and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance learning experiences.

Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities.

Participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and professional development workshops.

Mentor and guide students in co-curricular activities such as debates, elocution, and creative writing competitions.

Preferred candidate profile

A Master's degree in English (MA English) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized university.

Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching experience at the middle or secondary school level.

Ready to work in a residential school. Compulsory for staff to reside inside the campus.

Strong command of the English language, both written and spoken.

In-depth knowledge of English literature, grammar, and composition.

Proficiency in using technology for teaching, including interactive whiteboards, educational software, and online resources.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.

Passion for teaching and the ability to inspire and motivate students.

Familiarity with CBSE curriculum is preferred.

Creative, patient, and adaptable to the needs of diverse learners.
