Role-Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)

Hiring Location: Bangalore

Exp-5-7 years

Key Responsibilities:

• Incident Management:
• Handle incidents reported in ServiceNow and PagerDuty.
• Identify and resolve issues to maintain system stability and reliability.
• Perform blameless postmortems and implement preventive measures.
• Request Fulfillment:
• Monitor and manage ServiceNow request queues.
• Fulfill user support requests within a three-day SLA.
• Provide assistance through Slack, email, and ServiceNow.
• Lifecycle & Vulnerability Management:
• Apply patches and update software versions as part of lifecycle management.
• Perform vulnerability assessments and implement necessary security measures.
• System Performance & Change Management:
• Participate in system optimization tasks and performance tuning.
• Engage in change management processes, coordinating and implementing infrastructure or tool changes.
• Documentation & Compliance:
• Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and changes.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external standards through regular audits.
• Maintenance & On-Call Duties:
• Provide support during scheduled maintenance windows.
• Participate in on-call rotations for 24/7 support and quick issue resolution.

Must-Have Skills:

• Technical Skills:
• Experience with incident management and monitoring tools (ServiceNow, PagerDuty).
• Proficiency in system performance optimization, tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of lifecycle management practices, patching, and vulnerability management.
• Experience with observability tools (e. g. , Prometheus, Grafana) and dashboards.
• Strong scripting skills (e. g. , Python, Bash) for automation and optimization.
• Core Competencies:
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
• Understanding of compliance and security standards.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related fields.
• Proven experience in incident management and response using industry tools.
• Hands-on experience with system monitoring, logging, and ing systems.

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Familiarity with container orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Experience with change management tools and methodologies.
• Knowledge of performance tuning for both hardware and software systems.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation practices.
• Experience in handling on-call duties and rotating support shifts.
