Accounts Assistant

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our finance team with daily accounting tasks, financial record-keeping, and reporting. The ideal candidate should have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and reports.
• Process invoices, payments, and expenses while ensuring proper documentation.
• Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Support in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
• Prepare financial reports and assist in month-end and year-end closing.
• Handle petty cash management and expense tracking.
• Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets.
• Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders (vendors, clients, auditors, etc.).
• Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned by senior accountants or finance managers.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce (B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent).
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance (Freshers with strong academic backgrounds may be considered).
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Good understanding of GST, TDS, and other taxation concepts.
• Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, etc.).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience in a similar role in [specify industry, if applicable].
• Knowledge of financial compliance and auditing processes.
