About the Role:
Everyday, our research team verifies data from thousands of sources, capturing information on a range of subjects using internet research and uploading incoming information.
You will be providing media analysis/insights services for global brands, focusing on Onclusive key markets: US, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Ireland, etc.
This role entails the analysis and insights of published media content on a wide range of sectors: foreign affairs, politics, economy, entertainment, etc.
As a Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success and efficiency of our team members.
Your responsibilities:
- Analysis of news content.
- Researching and adding content to the Onclusive database.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency while adhering to predefined guidelines.
- Contact organisations via email to confirm the accuracy of our data.
- You will provide summaries, written in British English and American English to provide an overview of the relevant stories.
- Service standards and improvement.
- You will ensure timely delivery against project deadlines, working closely with your Team Leader and communicating any issues that arise.
- Responsibility for content in a specific market.
Communication:
- You will maintain effective and frequent communication with the team to ensure issues are addressed promptly.
- Work with colleagues within your team to ensure consistency of analysis.
Task Management:
- Task Assignment: Assign tasks to team members based on their skills and project requirements.
- Task Tracking: Monitor the progress of tasks to ensure timely completion.
Performance Management:
- Ensure all content on the site is accurate and up-to-date, and that all team tasks are completed to a high standard and to deadline.
- Monitor the overall team performance (Quality + Productivity) and provide feedback.
- Provide feedback and inform the Quality team of quality related issues.
- Quality will be primarily tracked by the Quality team.
Training and Development:
- Internal Training: Conduct & oversee routine internal training sessions where necessary.
- Special Training: Conduct & oversee special training sessions where needed, and inform Quality team of any special training requirements in cases of performance dips.
- PIP Training: Oversee the Performance Improvement Plan training, and inform Quality team of any special training requirements in cases of performance dips.
- Doubt Resolution: Establish and maintain a primary channel for doubt resolution.
Operational Management:
- Attendance: Manage attendance records for the team.
- Make sure the team fills the Team tracker detail on a daily basis.
- Conflict Management: Address and resolve any conflicts within the team.
- Team Handling: Provide guidance and support to team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Admin Work: Handle administrative tasks to support the team's operations.
Project Coordination and Communication:
- Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with stakeholders to gather and understand project requirements, ensuring alignment with team capabilities.
- Communication of Project Goals: Facilitate effective communication of project details to all relevant parties to ensure everyone is aligned and informed.
- Communicate project goals, timelines, and deliverables with the data operations manager.
Coordination and Reporting:
- Report to Data Operation Manager/Program Manager: Provide regular updates on team performance, task progress, and project status.
- Coordination: Ensure smooth coordination with other departments and managers.
Who you are:
Desirable qualities:
- A proven interest in media culture & understanding of the global corporate and political news agenda.
- Good IT and typing skills and an ability to use the Internet and social media as effective research tools.
- Ability to accurately interpret and summarise press releases.
- Good organisational skills and time management.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritise large volumes of data effectively and work to strict daily and weekly deadlines.
- Flexibility and reliability.
- Team ethic.
Desirable languages:
Mandatory: High level of literacy in American English or British English with strong grammar and spelling.
Knowledge of French, Spanish is a plus.
