Responsibilities:

Responsible for the management, planning and execution of assigned projects through effective use of allocated project team resources, and ensuring project schedules are met and profit margins are achieved while delivering projects that satisfy all contractual requirements and general business activities in accordance with Sydacs strategic direction.

• Project management: Through all relevant engineering managers, ensure accurate and regular maintenance of project plans and reporting of all major issues regarding projects to the Management Team. Through the relevant managers ensure all technical and commercial aspects of projects are addressed in a timely fashion during the implementation of the projects. Provide regular review process for all projects to the Executive Management Team.
• Project performance - Manage project, lead project teams to ensure costs and schedules performance per budget and plan. Customer & Project Staff feedback, project risk management, project specifications met, accurate on-time reporting, compliance with company quality policy. No preventable workplace accidents or events
• Customer service: Ensure effective coordination with the various functions within the company in particular those that have direct effect on projects, such as manufacturing, warranty procurement TQM and finance. Provide support for Tendering, R & D, Warranty as required.
• Safety and quality: Maintain safe work practices in accordance with section 2.03 (a) of the Occupational Health and Safety Management System
• Ensures that goods & services for assigned projects are procured in accordance with specified requirements relating to quantity & quality & are delivered in time to meet arranged schedules
• Manages projects in line Sydac processes and guidelines. Adhere to all policies procedures and work instructions within the discipline of ISO9001 Quality System.
• Verifies receipt of goods or services for assigned projects & authorizes accounts for payment. Liaise with vendors on rate adjustments & incorrect materials.
• Authorization of material requisitions and purchase orders according to the appropriate company policy in place at the time
• To work horizontally across the teams with an emphasis on project budgets and delivery milestones. Provide greater visibility of delivery milestones & budgets in a wider context over and above the current task to all teams in Pune
• Be eyes and ears for the Team in Adelaide (extension of ADL PM team in Pune), participate in regular discussions, provide constant updates on the ground situation in Pune
