About the Team

You will be part of a team that owns Core Data Path (CDP), which is an integral part of the Nutanix products and solutions. Nutanix Acropolis Data Storage Fabric is (DSF) the core of Nutanix HCI platform. It manages all metadata and data, and enables core storage features. DSF is the underpinning architectural element that connects the storage and compute resources. It enables scalability, resiliency and performance. The CDP QA team is looking for engineers who are in sync with our values and are passionate about systems software & quality.

Your Role

• We are looking for a QA Engineer to work in the CDP QA team with experience in automation, system software, troubleshooting, and integration testing. As an QA Engineer, you will:
• Develop a deep understanding of complex distributed systems and collaborate closely with development teams, QA and product management to deliver high-quality products in a fast-paced environment.
• Be empowered to assess the quality of deliverables, taking ownership of test planning, execution, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and features.
• Responsible for automating test cases, as well as building tools and libraries to meet project requirements.
• Analyze and troubleshoot failures, log defects in the Defect Tracking System, and drive them to resolution.
• Address test defects and continuously improve the efficiency of test cases.

What You Will Bring

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Proven experience in test planning and test case development.
• Proficient in functional and integration testing.
• Expertise in test automation using Python.
• Hands-on experience with automation development and bug resolution.
• Familiarity with distributed systems, HCI, microservices, and storage domains.
• Deep understanding of Linux operating system
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, KVM, or XenServer.
• Over 6+ years of experience in product development companies.
• Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related field.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid: This role operates in a hybrid capacity, blending the benefits of remote work with the advantages of in-person collaboration. For most roles, that will mean coming into an office a minimum of 2 - 3 days per week, however certain roles and/or teams may require more frequent in-office presence. Additional team-specific guidance and norms will be provided by your manager.
