As a Mutual Fund Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the operational activities related to mutual fund transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and optimizing efficiency within the mutual fund operations department. This role requires a deep understanding of mutual fund operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Responsibilities:
1. Operations Management:
Supervise daily mutual fund operations, including investments, reinvestments and redemptions of the clients.
Develop and implement efficient operational processes to streamline workflow and minimize errors.
Monitor operational metrics and performance indicators to ensure targets are met and escalate issues as necessary.
Stay updated with industry regulations and implement changes to ensure compliance with SEBI (Securities and Exchange Board of India) guidelines.
2. Team Leadership:
Lead a team of operations professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
Allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands and support professional development initiatives.
3. Risk Management:
Lead a team to process the transactions of the clients with the coordination of the AMCs.
4. Client Servicing:
Liaise with the clients, including portfolio managers, compliance officers, and client service representatives, to address client inquiries and resolve operational issues.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting to clients and regulatory bodies, maintaining transparency and trust.
5. Performance Monitoring and Reporting:
Generate and analyse reports on operational performance, identifying trends, deviations, and areas for improvement.
Present findings to senior management and recommend strategies to optimize operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications preferred.
Proven experience in mutual fund operations, with a deep understanding of industry regulations and best practices.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage teams and collaborate across departments.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact confidently with the clients.
