Nevaeh Technology - Quality Assurance Engineer - Automation Testing (2-4 yrs)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team in Kolkata.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our cutting-edge fintech products by developing and executing comprehensive test plans, scenarios, and cases.

This position demands a strong understanding of various testing methodologies, automation tools, and a passion for delivering high-quality software.

Responsibilities :

- Develop detailed test plans, scenarios, and cases based on business, user, and functional/non-functional requirements.

- Utilize JIRA for project planning, task management, bug tracking, and reporting.

- Collaborate regularly with Leads, Developers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and efficient testing processes.

- Design and execute automated tests using user-level test automation tools and/or behavior-driven test scenarios (BDD).

- Perform API testing and automation, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.

- Validate and document testing completion, ensuring compliance with established quality standards and regulatory requirements.

- Proactively identify, analyze, and report software defects, providing clear and concise information for developers to reproduce and resolve issues.

- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by actively participating in knowledge sharing, code reviews, and process optimization initiatives.

- Stay up-to-date with the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience :

- Proven experience in functionality/systems testing (2+ years mandatory).

- Strong SQL skills for data creation, update, and deletion, including complex queries and data validation.

- Hands-on experience with C++ and front-end and back-end testing automation.

- Demonstrated experience in API testing and automation using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.

- Solid understanding of underlying web technologies : REST APIs, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.

Proficiency with :

- Agile work planning tools (JIRA or similar)

- Source-control change management software (GIT or similar)

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Experience in the fintech domain is a plus
