Job Description
Reports To: Bangalore Head
Minimum Experience : 8-12 years of relevant experience
Minimum Qualification: BE-Civil, B.Tech-Civil / Diploma in Civil
JOB PURPOSE:
A Civil Engineer with 8 + years of experience in Estimation, Quantity Surveying Billing, budget preparation, Tendering, Report preparation and Internal Auditing, software knowledge, field verification on Residential, Commercial projects.
Responsibilities & duties:
Estimate:
Preparation of BOQ, Rate Analysis and Verifying Price Escalation Items w.r.t contract clause and w.r.t market price for further processing.
Receiving drawing from the In house / External Architect and after checking use it for estimate preparation.
Continuous follow-up with the Vendor for all the necessary activities, queries & documents to be received and thereby completing the documentations and sequences within the timeframe.
Reporting to Team Lead / RA on daily basis of the activities of the completed tasks/ pending/ next sequences of works related terms.
Monitoring and maintaining by doing Material reconciliation, Basic Material rates, Quantity reconciliation on regular basis for controlling the material wastages as per the requirements.
Vendor Rate comparison & Rate Negotiation for the activities as per the requirements
Pre - Qualification Eligibility checking, Project Cost Analysis workings - Direct Cost (Material, Manpower & Machinery), Indirect Cost - (Power, Water, Safety, Staff Salary, Logistics, Site Establishment & running cost, Financial expenses, HO overheads) and finalizing the same.
Estimation of Quantities w.r.t tender stage drawings for Item/ non-item wise type of contract projects & In-house projects.
Preparation of assumption list and getting approval for budgeting.
Preparation of the budget estimate and submit for approval.
Checking Bill of Quantities and submit for approval.
Checking the Revised Estimate as per the GFC drawing and submit for approval.
Agency Bill Works
Preparation / Checking of the Agency bills for payment
Comparison agency bills with estimated quantity
Getting approved for the Estimated / non-estimated and non-tendered items.
Other Works
Assist in scheduling of the project (PMG formation)
Tracking of the project as per execution
Checking the Estimated Vs Executed quantity.
Checking the Reconciliation statement for all materials
Weekly site report, Material Bills with Material consumption report Checking.
Monitoring the overall work progress of Estimation Department.(QS)
IT
Responsible for effective use of ERP software
Approving the work order and approving the agency bill.
Updating the estimate in BSF system /any other software implemented @ Navin s.
Preparation the Agency work order and Purchase order
Indents creation of new items.
Checking indent with estimated quantity and forwarding to purchase department.
Work order creation in ERP for Sub-contractor bills.
ISO & Audits
Apply measurement, analysis and improved techniques for analysis of data for quality improvement.
Implement the quality policy and quality objective in the process at all levels
Follow the QMS
Checking and maintaining the ISO related documents.
MIS / Reports
Prepare for meetings with relevant data / presentation
Submit periodical report to the management
Cost Control
To implement time and cost effective solutions
To manage budget
