Job Description

WordPress Testing : Design and execute testing plans for WordPress websites, including functional, regression, performance, and cross-browser testing.
Accessibility Compliance : Conduct thorough accessibility checks in accordance with WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) to ensure compliance and improve user experience for all individuals.
Automation Testing : Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and relevant testing frameworks to enhance efficiency and coverage.
Defect Management : Identify, document, and track defects and issues; work closely with development teams to prioritize and facilitate timely resolutions.
Quality Assurance Strategy : Create and implement QA strategies and best practices tailored to web development and accessibility compliance.
Collaboration : Collaborate with developers, designers, and product managers to understand project requirements and integrate QA processes seamlessly throughout the development lifecycle.
Guidance : Providing guidance to designers, developers, and template builders to avoid mistakes at the beginning of the whole process not just at the end by pointing to issues.
Quality Metrics : Establish and monitor quality metrics and KPIs specific to web projects, regularly reporting on progress to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement : Research and integrate industry trends and technologies to optimize testing practices and expand automation efforts.
Documentation : Maintain comprehensive documentation of testing processes, test cases, accessibility audits, and other QA-related materials.

Required Experience and Skills:

Education : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, or a related field. A Master s degree is a plus.
Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance
WordPress Proficiency : Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, and plugins, with practical experience in testing WordPress websites.
Accessibility Standards : Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG and Section 508, and tools for assessing accessibility compliance.
Technical Proficiency : Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with Python for automation testing is highly desirable.
Web Standards : Deep knowledge of web standards, semantic markup, microformats, technical A11y and other web-related topics
Proactivity : Proactive behavior involves constantly finding new and better solutions to stay one step ahead.
Automation Tools : Familiarity with automation testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) and CI/CD tools.
Analytical Skills : Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; capable of making data-driven decisions.
Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex information effectively to various stakeholders.
Team Collaboration : Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, promoting cross-functional cooperation.
Attention to Detail : Demonstrated attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
