Job Summary:

The Deputy Manager FMR (FP&A) is responsible for a collection of processes between recording financial transactions and publishing financial reports. The candidate should have should be with CA 4+ years of experience in manufacturing/FMCG company in the Finance and Accounts domain. S/he is responsible for providing both strategic, financial, and operational feedback on business performance as well as financial statements that are compliant with local accounting standards. Responsibilities include posting journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, reviewing entries and reconciliations, preparing cash forecasting statements, supporting month-end closing, preparing various reports as required, and supporting audits.

Job Description:

Responsible for monthly book closure, financial reporting, and reconciliations. Application of the entitys accounting policies to each non-routine event or transaction is independently reviewed for appropriateness and ensures any exceptions are highlighted to business on an immediate basis
Unusual items and exceptions are investigated and properly resolved / recorded in the general ledger in the appropriate accounting period
Managing the Financial and Management Reporting (RTR) processes and ensuring the service level agreements are met as per the timeline and accuracy
Overall responsibilities include:

• Inventory accounting (movements and reconciliation with physical stock)
• Prepare MIS (Management Information Systems) reports along with analysis of key business KPIs (key performance indicators) / trends
• Analyse and report Budget Vs Actual / Forecast numbers along with justifications/commentary for variances.
• Support in preparation of annual budget and operating plans (customer / biz vertical wise)
• Revenue reporting and analysis at customer / vertical levels and Revenue Planning as per Service Agreements
• Review of GLs and liaising for requirements of F&A team
• Provide inputs for management review decks for Finance & Business review meetings
• Stakeholder management (internal / external) for query resolution and provide backup documents
• Month-end processing (period close)
• Trial balance, PNL and balance sheet review
• Management Reporting
• Inter-company reconciliations
• Account reconciliations (GL to sub-ledger)
• Budgeting and Forecasting

Profile Description:

• Experience in Finance and Accounts domain from a Manufacturing environment
• Relevant Experience in FP&A/Business Finance domain from IT / ITES / Shared services, Captive / Third-Party environment. Prior experience in Service Industry is preferred.
• Should be able to identify and implement Continuous Improvement Projects to improve teams productivity and efficiency and overall quality of processes
• Well versed with MS Office Excel, Power Point
• Working knowledge of SAP is mandatory. Knowledge of tools such as Tableau / Power BI would be an added advantage
• Ability to handle pressure and work in an environment of tight timelines
• Strong domain expertise, analytical skills and logical reasoning and ability to work independently
• Very good communication skills as the role will require coordination with various stakeholders
• Basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Working knowledge of SAP / Oracle and SAP BPC / BO / BI would be an added advantage
• Willingness to work in Night Shift and different time zones and, willingness to travel (short, informed trips) based on the business needs.
