Site Reliability Engineer - AppDynamics/Monitoring Tools (1-3 yrs)

Experience Required :

- 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) with a focus on observability, triaging, and automation.

Mandatory Skills :

Monitoring & Reporting :

- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Prometheus, Data Dog, New Relic, Dynatrace, Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, Alert Manager, and PagerDuty.

- Ability to identify issues and send daily reports.

Cloud Knowledge :

- Understanding of applications and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP), with a preference for Azure.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution :

- Strong triaging and troubleshooting skills.

- Ability to identify root causes and apply fixes.

Communication & Learning Ability :

- Strong verbal and written communication skills to handle global stakeholders.

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.

Work Schedule & Availability :

- Must be open to working in shifts, including night and weekend shifts.

- Required to work in a 24x7 support model (ROTA).

- Prior experience in 24/7 projects is preferred.

Work Location : Mandatory to work from the Chennai (Guindy) office, 5 days a week.

Good to Have Skills :

- Experience in handling high-priority & unplanned ad-hoc issues.

- Knowledge of dashboard development & alert configuration.

- Experience with automation using scripting languages (Python, Shell, Perl).

- Scripting in dashboards is an added advantage.

- Understanding of mobile app technologies like API, CloudFront, CDN, Search, Firebase, etc.

- Exposure to OpenShift, Kubernetes, and VMs along with config tools like Ansible, Chef, Terraform.

Overall Summary :

- This role is focused on monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

- The ideal candidate should have experience with monitoring tools, cloud platforms, scripting for automation, and working in a 24/7 support environment.
