Director of Product Engineering - SF

The Position We are looking for a SF Director of Product Engineering to lead our talented and innovative engineering team. As a Director of Product Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of high-quality products that meet our customers' needs and expectations. You will also collaborate with other senior leaders across the organization to define and execute our product vision and strategy.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Working closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand user requirements, prioritize features, and deliver products and solutions in a timely manner.
• Communicating effectively and transparently with internal and external partners on product engineering goals, progress, and outcomes.
• Evaluating and managing risks, issues, dependencies, and trade-offs related to product engineering projects.
• Ensuring alignment and coordination between product engineering and other functions such as marketing, sales, support, and operations.
• Managing and mentoring a team of engineers, providing them with guidance, feedback, and career development opportunities.
• Establishing and enforcing best practices, standards, and processes for software engineering, quality assurance, and deployment.
• Driving innovation and continuous improvement in our product engineering practices, tools, and technologies.

Ideal candidate

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• 15 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in leading engineering teams in a product development environment.
• A proven track record of delivering high-quality products that meet user needs and business objectives.
• A strong technical background and expertise in software development methodologies, architectures, frameworks, and technologies. Experience in SaaS product development and specifically on Salesforce would be ideal.
• A strategic thinker and a problem solver who can balance competing priorities and make data-driven decisions.
• A collaborative leader who can inspire, motivate, and empower engineers and other cross-functional teams.
• A clear communicator who can articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• A deep understanding of the product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
• A customer-centric mindset and a passion for creating products that delight users and solve real problems.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
