Job Description

Job Title: Deputy General Manager/Mechanical Head (Equipment division)

Location: Bangladesh

Job Summary:


Max Infrastructure Ltd., a subsidiary of Max Group, is seeking a Deputy General
Manager/Mechanical Head (Equipment Division) to manage a fleet of over 500 pieces of
equipment, including large cranes, crawler cranes, rotary rigs, and more. Our division positions
us as one of the largest equipment providers in Bangladesh's construction industry. This role
offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a leading organization in the sector.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Management

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for the efficient management of the equipment
    fleet.
  • Plan for equipment acquisition, replacement, and upgrades based on project
    requirements and lifecycle analysis.

2. Operational Oversight

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Equipment Division, including equipment
    allocation, repair, and maintenance.
  • Establish and enforce operational policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure high
    performance and safety standards.
  • Monitor equipment usage and performance metrics to maximize uptime and minimize
    costs.

3. Maintenance and Repairs

  • Supervise the maintenance and repair schedules to ensure timely and effective upkeep
    of all equipment.
  • Coordinate with the technical team to troubleshoot and resolve equipment breakdowns.
  • Optimize spare parts inventory and procurement processes to avoid downtime.

4. Budgeting and Cost Management

  • Prepare and manage the divisions budget, including maintenance, repairs, and capital
    expenditure for new equipment.
  • Track expenses and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial efficiency.

5. Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Equipment Division team, including engineers, mechanics,
    and operators.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs for team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

6. Vendor and Stakeholder Management

  • Negotiate contracts with equipment vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure
    favorable terms.
  • Liaise with project managers and other departments to ensure equipment availability and
    support for ongoing projects.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth
    operations.

7. Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements related
    to equipment operation and management.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on equipment performance, cost efficiency, and
    operational status to senior management.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to maintain the divisions competitive
    edge.

Qualifications and Skills:


Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of heavy construction equipment operation, maintenance, and
    lifecycle management.
  • Handling at least 500 equipments fleet with large cranes, crawler crane, Rotary rig etc.
  • Proficiency in equipment management software and data analysis tools.
  • In-depth understanding of budgeting and cost control in equipment operations.


Educational Background
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.


Experience
• At least 12-15 years of experience in equipment management, with a minimum of 5 years
in a leadership role, preferably in the construction or infrastructure sector.


Leadership and Interpersonal Skills
• Proven ability to lead and manage diverse teams.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on results.


Other Requirements
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations related to equipment operations.


Age: Between: 35-47 Gender: Male
Salary range: Approximately 5 lac INR (Including tax)
