Role Overview: The Head of Distribution Center will be responsible for managing the entire operations of the DC, from receiving goods to dispatch. This role requires a focus on cost optimization, operational efficiency, and strategic planning to meet distribution targets while managing costs effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Distribution Center, ensuring smooth flow of goods and timely delivery to customers.

- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve cost efficiency, reduce lead times, and maximize productivity.

- Manage a team of warehouse managers, logistics supervisors, and other operational staff.

- Analyze and optimize supply chain processes, including inventory management, warehousing, order fulfillment, and transportation.

- Ensure that the DC complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Manage and track operational costs, ensuring that the DC operates within budgetary constraints.

- Lead efforts for continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing lean management practices and data-driven analysis.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPI's) and prepare performance reports for senior management.

Required Qualifications:

- Extensive experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution center management.

- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to drive operational excellence.

- Excellent understanding of supply chain and logistics management, including cost reduction strategies.

- Ability to manage budgets, track operational costs, and analyze financial reports.

- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

- Relevant qualifications such as a degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or engineering.
