Majesco is seeking a Senior Developer for the North American Distribution Management product that serves both P&C and L&A Insurance companies. All About the Role:

• Develop Quality software by practicing software engineering principles and best practices. Expected to work as a hands-on developer and if needed, guide junior developers
• Embrace First Time Right, Automation, Reusability, Maintainability, and Secure Coding in everyday work
• Design elegant solutions to meet the business process & requirements of the customer
• Create holistic designs for development using a Test-Driven Development approach to ensure the reusability & extensibility of capabilities in future versions.
• Takes part in code reviews (self and team) and suggests/fixes any defects/design issues identified.
• Prepare and Review estimations and ensure on-time delivery of features and fixes
• Support issue analysis/triaging and provide fixes during test phases and critical production issue resolution to ensure key SLAs are met
• Must be comfortable with a remote/in-office hybrid culture and willing to work across time zones and with remote teams

All About You:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in design & development experience with Oracle or other RDBMS
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on design & development experience with object-oriented programming in JAVA technology stack
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on design & development experience with SOAP/REST API
• Exposure to managing non-functional requirements (NFR) - performance, security, and availability
• Exposure to cloud applications including DevOps/DevSecOps, Scaling, Deployment and Automation; Cloud Exposure - MS Azure/AWS, OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitHub, Jira
• Understanding of a project life cycle methodology.
• Demonstrated problem solving & decision-making skills.

Other Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering; master’s degree a plus • Experience with SAFe Agile Development practices and processes. SAFe Practitioner certification preferred.
• Experience with the Majesco Platforms/Products or Guidewire/Duckcreek/Insurity products is a plus
• Experience working on enterprise Distribution Management (Insurance Agency management, Onboarding, Compensation Management, etc.) implementations is a big plus
• Preferred experience in developing packaged software (Products) preferably in the banking or financial services areas.
• Familiar with architecture frameworks and software design patterns is a plus
