Purpose/Objective
Responsible for overall performance of vessels (Tugs) at branch.
The overall performance includes uninterrupted operations, Breakdown / planned maintenance & dry-docking, various statutory compliance, safety of crafts & crew, ensure timely payment of wages to crew & various vendors, timely submission of periodic MIS/paperwork, keep vessels in good/painted/presentable condition.
Key Responsibilities of Role
• Ensure periodic / breakdown / predictive breakdown of Tugs intime • Maintain all the tugs in operational condition all the time • No Major Breakdown / Minimum off-hire period.
• To Carry out Major/minor overhauling • Strengthening workplace safety & reduction in Accident/Incidents at branch level.
• Zero fatality / Active participation in safety training.
• To maintain all statutory compliance for the tugs & offices • All monthly paperwork to be completed within deadlines.
• Provide inputs to get Spares to procure well in advance.
• Monitoring & Controlling of Budgets for 100% Adherence to Annual budget at Branch Level.
• Correctly update all MIS reports and send to RO & HO within deadlines without reminders.
• Strengthen the team /Culture, Crew & Office staff by training & Mentoring.
• Keeping RO updated of day-to-day activities, defects & work/survey planning.
• To create Purchase & service requisitions in SAP.
• Processing of invoices (Material / Services) in SAP • Liaising with external stakeholders for materials, services repair work and other services.
• To get Port Entry/Exit Permissions from the port Authorities for materials and Service Personals.
