Direct Taxation - Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Should have hands on exposure in Direct and Indirect Taxation.
2. Attend to various matters relating to assessment, appeals and other matters before various tax authorities.
3. Liaison with various tax departments like Income Tax, Service Tax, Commercial Tax, Excise, Customs etc…
4. Tax planning for MPL and its Group Companies in consultation with statutory auditors and management.
5. Verification and Reconciliation of payments to be made to various tax authorities.
6. Follow up with various tax departments with regard to assessments &D appeals.
7. Coordinate with advocates for filing timely appeals with the tax department and court concerned.
8. Coordinate with accounts departments for ensuring timely completion of Annual Accounts for enabling to file the returns in time.
9. Ensure proper maintenance of appropriate statuary records and registers under the relevant tax Laws.
10. Ensure timely payments to various tax departments under the respective Tax Laws.
11. Monthly MIS on Taxation matters to management..
