Job Title: Chief General Technician Automobile Industry

Job Summary:

The Chief General Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance tasks. This role involves leading a team of technicians, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining compliance with safety and industry standards. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical vehicle systems, along with leadership abilities to guide and train junior technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vehicle Maintenance & Repair:

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults in vehicles.
• Perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance on various automobile models.
• Ensure the proper use of diagnostic tools and equipment for accurate troubleshooting.
• Oversee major repairs, including engine overhauls, transmission systems, and braking systems.

2. Team Leadership & Supervision:

• Supervise and guide a team of technicians to ensure efficiency and quality control.
• Assign tasks based on technician expertise and workload.
• Train junior technicians on new technologies, repair techniques, and safety procedures.

3. Quality Control & Safety Compliance:

• Conduct final inspections to verify the quality of repairs before vehicle delivery.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in the workshop.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workshop area.

4. Customer Interaction & Reporting:

• Communicate with service advisors and customers to explain vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and work performed.
• Provide technical support and solutions to complex automotive problems.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Automobile/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent certification.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in automobile repair and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, scanners, and software.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with multiple car brands and models.
• Certification from recognized automobile training institutions (e.g., ITI).

Work Environment:

• Workshop-based role with occasional fieldwork.
• Exposure to machinery, tools, and vehicle components.
• Requires physical stamina for lifting and handling equipment.
