Quality Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Control:
• Ensure all products, machinery, and equipment meet the required quality standards and specifications.
• Develop and implement quality control procedures and testing methods to ensure that materials and products meet the required specifications.
• Oversee the execution of quality inspections and product testing throughout the production process.

Supplier Quality Management:
• Conduct supplier evaluations and audits to assess the quality of raw materials, components, and machinery.
• Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and ensure products meet the standards and specifications.

Process Improvement:
• Identify areas for process improvement in the production or procurement of machinery and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and procurement, to optimize manufacturing processes and enhance product quality.

Testing & Inspection:
• Supervise the inspection and testing of all incoming and outgoing materials, components, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Maintain records of inspections, testing reports, and certifications.

Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain accurate records of quality control inspections, test results, and any corrective or preventive actions taken.
• Prepare and present detailed reports on quality performance to senior management.

Compliance & Standards:
• Ensure that all operations comply with internal standards, industry regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Stay updated with the latest industry standards, regulations, and certifications related to quality control and quality assurance.

Root Cause Analysis & Corrective Action:
• Conduct root cause analysis for any quality issues or non-conformances and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively and on time.

Team Leadership & Training:
• Lead, mentor, and train quality control staff to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence within the team.

Equipment Calibration & Maintenance:
• Ensure that testing equipment and machinery used in quality control are calibrated and well-maintained.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure any equipment malfunctions are addressed promptly.
