Job Purpose

• The Resource Production Machine shop is responsible for achieving the production targets of vehicles (as per model mix) in adherence to quality, safety and cost standards. The incumbent will work to deliver production targets of the vehicle to the Outbound Logistics team as per PPC plan.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct all activities of manufacturing to deliver the volume and quality
  targets of production (Crankcase, Cover, Cylinder Head)
• Crank shaft Balancing, Grinding, Honing, Hardening CNC Machining centers (VMC, HMC & SPM).
• Ensure that required resources are made available by coordinating with respective teams to
  achieve the production plans.
• Approve maintenance job schedule, to minimize down time and improve OEE.
• Fixture, Gauge & Tools improvements & Development.
• Implement a culture of self directed operating teams and maintain a safe and conducive
  work environment
• Review production data and guide shop managers to meet targets
• Implement corrective actions to keep costs within budget and production loss under target
  levels by continuous review of data.
• Ensure that quality control practices are adhered to in the plant.
• Implement various quality, process, productivity improvement initiatives such as ISO, TQM,
  lean manufacturing within the agreed timelines
• Ensure all safety and statutory compliances with respect to the operations in consultation
  with the Manager Safety and Business unit HR
• Oversee safety initiatives and ensure adherence to prescribed safety rules
