Role & responsibilities
1. Assist the Executive Chef: Support the Executive Chef in managing the bakery operations, including menu planning, inventory management, and staff supervision.
2. Oversee Baked Goods Production: Supervise the preparation and production of high-quality baked goods, including bread, pastries, cakes, and desserts.
3. Manage Inventory: Maintain accurate inventory records, order supplies, and control waste to minimize costs.
4. Maintain a Clean and Safe Working Environment: Ensure that the bakery area is clean, safe, and organized, adhering to health and safety regulations.
5. Train and Develop Staff: Train and develop bakery staff to improve their skills and knowledge, and to ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
6. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of baked goods and ensure that they meet company standard.
7. Cost Control: Control labor and food costs to minimize expenses and maximize profitability.
8. Menu Planning: Assist in menu planning and development to ensure that baked goods are innovative, appealing, and meet customer expectations.
Preferred candidate profile
Minimum 10 years experience in Bakery & Confectionary with BHM or Relevant Experience.
