Backup Administrator

Role & responsibilities

• Experience in Veeam Virtual Tape Library management is considered an advantage
• The  Backup Storage Administrator will have a comprehensive understanding of Azure, AWS, Veeam and LTO storage systems, including configuration and management.
• Knowledge of iSCSI, SMB, NFS and CIFS shares networking protocols
• Be an escalation point on all backup issues
• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery policies and procedures
• Experience in scripting (bash, perl)
• Knowledge of Cloud Platform (Azure, AWS), ESXi Virtualization technology basics
• Strong understanding of the Windows and Linux operating architectures.
• Knowledge of encryption of data at rest
• Able to work independently in a fast-paced environment with the ability to change priorities on the fly.
• Adheres to department and IT policies and procedures.
• Provide 24x7 IT operations support in a team on a rotation and on-call basis
• Develop and exhibit technical subject matter expertise on the assigned backup and storage systems along with associated processes and procedures
