Sr. Climate Specialist

Purpose: To support and measure our progress towards LSCo. s 2030 and 2050 climate targets.

Key Results:
Overseeing end to end GHG inventory accounting measuring progress
Lead on GHG accounting methodology, Life Cycle Assessment to leverage decarbonization
Project manager decarbonization interventions

About the Job

• Primary liaison with internal stakeholders and external GHG inventory and forecasts providers.

• Lead company-wide data collection, refinement, and calculations for scope 3, category 1 greenhouse gas to meet voluntary and legal requirements, such as CSRD, PEF, CDP, TCFD, other jurisdictional requirements.

• Support product life cycle assessments and Scope 3 GHG inventory modelling using existing and emerging tools and help refine methodologies and improve internal documentation.

• Serve as project manager for select decarbonization interventions required to meet LSCo. near-term and long-term SBTs and Climate Transition Plan commitments.

• Track annual progress of near term and net zero target as well as intervention contributions and identify shifts to intervention strategy to accelerate progress and mitigate emissions growth.

• Support internal and external sustainability data auditing and third-party verification ensuring completeness and accuracy of data.

• Conduct ad hoc desk-based research into industry best practices and peer benchmarking on various sustainability topics.

• Take ownership of our Life Cycle and Product Environmental Footprint methodologies.

About You

• Bachelor s degree in scientific discipline or engineering.

• 5+ years of professional experience in a position requiring LCA modeling and work involving extensive quantitative data analysis.

• Experience modeling LCA in an LCA software like SimaPro or Sphera GaBi.

• Experience generating substantiation for key ESG issues including metrics, forecasts, and due diligence.

• Experience leveraging AI tools to streamline and enhance integrated data analysis, project management, and dashboard development.

• Experience managing external vendors and/or working on projects with multiple partners.

• Candidate has a deep understanding of textile fabrication and apparel production processes.

• Knowledge of LCA inputs/outputs, and relevant LCIA databases.

• Familiar with GHG accounting and disclosure frameworks including GHGP, SBTi, CDP, ISO, SASB, GRI, TCFD UN SDGs.

• Advanced proficiency in managing large datasets using various analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, Looker Studio) and support data management, analysis, visualization, and reporting.

• Strong communication skills and proven track record of building relationships.

• High degree of proactiveness and solutions orientation to provide recommendations for resolving complexity. Will work with direct manager and sustainability leadership as well as cross-functional colleagues to address complexity.

• Person is accountable for delivering our GHG inventory, improve life cycle assessments and tracking of progress against carbon targets.
