Job Summary:

MGT is seeking a Systems Engineer III Wireless Subject Matter Expert (SME) with extensive wireless project experience to lead and support enterprise-level wireless network deployments. This role requires an expert-level understanding of wireless networking technologies, the ability to articulate and execute project plans, and the expertise to document and establish best practices for wireless solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Wireless subject matter expert (SME) for large scale enterprise-wide network initiatives.
• Lead wireless project kickoffs, design meetings, deployment planning, implementation, and final documentation preparation.
• Clearly articulate technical aspects of wireless projects from inception to completion.
• Demonstrate recent experience in designing, deploying, and managing wireless networks for large-scale enterprise environments.
• Provide expertise in one or more wireless solution sets, including Cisco, Aruba, and Juniper.
• Develop best practice documentation for implementing wireless solutions, ensuring standardization and optimization.
• Perform network design, troubleshooting, and capacity planning for HPE/Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, and Juniper local and cloud-managed wireless networks.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration, security, and performance of wireless infrastructure.
• Proactively monitor wireless network performance, utilizing Cisco Meraki Cloud, HPE, Aruba, and Juniper network management tools.

Minimum Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience as a wireless network engineer, with a strong track record of leading and executing complex wireless deployments
• Expertise in Wi-Fi protocols (IEEE 802.11) and networking protocols, including DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, TCP/IP, UDP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPN, ACLs, and LDAP.
• Proven ability to clearly articulate and present technical concepts related to wireless solutions
• Experience conducting and analyzing Wi-Fi surveys using tools such as Ekahau
• Strong understanding of wireless security best practices, including 802.1x authentication and identity management solutions (Cisco ISE, Aruba ClearPass, or Microsoft NPS)
• Demonstrated experience creating and implementing best practice documentation for enterprise wireless solutions
• Excellent project management skills, including planning, implementation, testing, and documentation of wireless networks
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless network operations and client satisfaction
• Experience in a customer-facing role, providing excellent service and support to clients
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Cisco Certified Networking Professional (CCNP) or equivalent manufacturer certifications (Aruba, HPE, Juniper)
