Security Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Implement the security provisions as laid down in The ILDC Manual.
2. Keep himself fully conversant with all security instructions and ensure that the security instructions are fully understood by all employees and are implemented or complied with, within their respective sections and offices.
3. Shall be responsible for the proper conduct, discipline and performance of all the personnel in Security department.
4. Shall also be responsible and ensure that fire service section is fully equipped and personnel are well trained. He shall take prompt action whenever necessity arises.
5. Shall also be responsible for the duties of his subordinate staff and carry out any other lawful and reasonable orders issued to him by management.
6. Responsible for implementation of computer and information technology related security instructions within the company.
7. Carrying out periodic surprise checks and maintains a record of such checks.
8. Submitting report to the Unit Head indicating lapses noticed by him as and when it occurs.
9. Arranging regular programs to apprise the employees on security matters.
10. Maintaining constant liaison with law enforcing agencies and nodal offices in Ministries.
11. Carrying out improvement in the security system for the premises under his charge, as required, over and above the security manual.
12. Arrange Internal & External Security Audits.
13. Incident analysis and Investigations, Traffic management, Material IN-OUT moment, Training's, CCTV, VMS system, Key Management, Parking management, Access control system, Medical Emergency, Crisis management, Disaster management and etc
14. Implement and enforce company security policies and procedures.
15. Respond promptly to security breaches, alarms, and emergencies.
16. Prepare and maintain security logs, reports, and records.

Preferred candidate profile

The Security Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of company assets, personnel, and premises. They will work in close coordination with internal teams to enforce security protocols, prevent unauthorized access, and manage emergency situations. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-security environments, preferably with a background in military, Defence, or airport security operations.

• Military experience (Army, Navy, Air Force CISF) or related security experience is preferred.
• Prior experience in high-security environments, such as airports, Defence installations, or government facilities.
• Relevant security management certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP) are a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in security management, criminology, or a related field is preferred.
