Job Description

The Grouting Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all grouting operations in construction, tunneling, mining, or geotechnical projects. This role involves planning, execution, quality control, safety compliance, and ensuring efficient use of resources for various grouting techniques, such as cementitious, chemical, or pressure grouting.

1. Project Planning & Execution:

Develop and implement grouting procedures based on project specifications.
Coordinate with project engineers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth execution.
Select appropriate grouting materials and techniques for different ground conditions.
Supervise site activities to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.

2. Quality Control & Technical Oversight:

Ensure proper mix designs, flow rates, pressure limits, and curing processes.
Conduct pre- and post-grouting assessments to evaluate effectiveness.
Implement quality control tests such as permeability, strength, and settlement tests.
Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize grouting techniques.

3. Safety & Compliance:

Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations.
Conduct risk assessments and mitigation plans for grouting operations.
Ensure environmental compliance regarding material disposal and groundwater protection.

4. Resource & Team Management:

Supervise and train grouting teams, including drillers, pump operators, and technicians.
Monitor and control project costs, resource allocation, and material procurement.
Maintain equipment and ensure proper calibration and maintenance.

5. Reporting & Documentation:

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on grouting progress.
Maintain records of mix designs, material usage, pressure logs, and quality control data.
Provide technical reports and recommendations for project improvement.

Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical Skills:

Expertise in various grouting methods: Cementitious, Chemical, Jet, Permeation, or Compaction grouting.
Knowledge of geotechnical and structural behavior related to grouting.
Ability to interpret construction drawings, soil reports, and specifications.
Experience with grouting equipment, pumps, and monitoring tools.

Soft Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and coordination with engineers, clients, and teams.
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in grouting operations.
Certifications in geotechnical or grouting techniques (preferred).
