GIS Engineer (WWW SBG EDRC)

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor s degree in Geo informatics / Equivalent from an accredited college. (Master s degree in GIS/Remote Sensing will be added an advantage)
• 0-2 years of experience in the GIS

Job Responsibilities

• Preparing GIS datasets, Maps, database reports and support various projects.
• Analysing spatial data, creating dashboards, web applications and presentations.
• Developing mapping applications and tools.
• Producing technically skilled and detailed solutions in GIS for engineering.
• Give technical support to GIS users as required.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in GIS.

Competencies and Skills:

• Hands-on knowledge of Esri ArcGIS desktop software, including ArcMap and ArcPro.
• Strong understanding of geodatabases and geodatabase applications.
• Ability to work with vector and raster datasets.
• Experience using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, or another web mapping system.
• Experience working with different coordinate systems, map projections, and datum.
• Ability to independently manage multiple assignments, determine and set job task priorities and work with limited direct supervision.
• Working experience in multi discipline teams.
• Self-organization, high level of motivation and ability to work under pressure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals.
• Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others.
