Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and motivated SEO Specialist who excels in Technical SEO, On-page SEO, and Off-page SEO. This individual will work closely with the Development and Infra teams to implement best practices for SEO across the entire website. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of website design, HTML/CSS coding, site architecture, and how these factors relate to SEO. A strong knowledge of pay-per-click (PPC) strategies and the ability to improve website performance and speed is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical SEO:

  • Conduct thorough technical SEO audits of the website and implement required changes (fix crawl issues, structured data, internal linking, site architecture, canonical tags, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the development and infra teams to optimize and troubleshoot technical SEO elements such as:
    • Crawlability and Indexability: Ensuring search engines can crawl and index all critical pages, no blocking of essential pages (robots.txt, noindex tags, and nofollow tags).
    • Site Architecture & URL Structure: Design logical website structure and optimize URL parameters to enhance user experience and SEO.
    • XML Sitemaps: Ensure XML sitemaps are optimized for search engines.
    • Mobile-First Optimization: Ensure the website is mobile-friendly and complies with mobile-first indexing requirements.
    • Page Speed Optimization: Diagnose and resolve page speed issues by working with developers to optimize page loading times, minimize JavaScript/CSS, and implement lazy loading and server-side improvements.
    • Core Web Vitals Optimization: Monitor and improve key user experience metrics like LCP, FID, and CLS.
    • HTTPS Implementation: Ensure the entire website is served over HTTPS, promoting security and SEO ranking benefits.
    • Redirects & Canonicalization: Correct any redirect issues and manage canonical tags for duplicate content management.
    • Schema Markup: Implement and maintain structured data (schema.org) to improve rich snippet appearance in search results.

2. On-page SEO:

  • Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for optimizing existing content and developing new content.
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices, including meta tags (title, description), headings (H1, H2, etc.), image optimization (alt tags, file sizes), internal linking structure, and URL optimization.
  • Improve content quality by ensuring proper keyword density, semantic optimization, and user engagement.
  • Optimize landing pages for search engines and conversions by collaborating with the marketing team to align content with SEO objectives.

3. Off-page SEO:

  • Develop and execute off-page SEO strategies to increase domain authority through link-building efforts, outreach, and partnerships.
  • Analyze competitor backlink profiles and identify new opportunities.
  • Monitor backlink health and disavow harmful links as needed.
  • Implement local SEO tactics where applicable to increase local business visibility.

4. PPC Management:

  • Manage and optimize Google Ads (PPC) campaigns to drive traffic and conversions.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure the PPC strategy aligns with SEO efforts and broader digital marketing goals.
  • Monitor and optimize keyword performance, ad copies, and landing pages for improved campaign performance.

5. Collaboration with Development & Infra Teams:

  • Work with the development and infrastructure teams to ensure SEO changes can be implemented effectively without disrupting website performance or usability.
  • Ensure the seamless deployment of technical SEO updates, especially during site migrations or redesigns.
  • Be proactive in identifying and solving technical challenges that could impact SEO.

6. Reporting and Analytics:

  • Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Search Console, etc.) to monitor and report SEO performance, traffic, rankings, and other key metrics.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data to improve overall SEO performance.
  • Set up dashboards for tracking KPIs, including but not limited to organic traffic, bounce rate, conversions, CTR, and rankings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in Technical SEO, On-page SEO, and Off-page SEO.
  • Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and website development technologies.
  • Hands-on experience with SEO tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • In-depth knowledge of PPC (Pay-per-click), particularly Google Ads.
  • Experience with schema markup, rich snippets, and structured data.
  • Strong knowledge of Core Web Vitals and strategies to improve them.
  • Expertise in page speed optimization, working with developers to ensure a fast, efficient site.
  • Understanding of website architecture and the ability to work closely with DevOps and Infra teams.
  • Ability to implement technical fixes like redirects, canonical tags, and handling site migration.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to communicate SEO findings and strategies clearly with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continual improvement.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of JavaScript SEO and working with single-page applications (SPA).
  • Familiarity with server-side optimizations (e.g., CDN configurations, caching, etc.).
  • Experience with WordPress, Shopify, or other CMS platforms and implementing SEO best practices within those platforms.
  • Knowledge of A/B testing and conversion rate optimization (CRO) techniques.
