Manager Import & Export

Role & responsibilities

• Managing Import and Export operations by Coordination with Supplying vendor, Forwarders & CHA.
• Manage Operations as per Indian customs regulations, international trade laws , legal and regulatory requirements in both domestic and international markets .
• Customs related Certification and registrations like AEO, SVB, PIMS, CHIMS etc.
• Understand the Customs and Government Gadgets and interpretation inline to Business applicability.
• Understanding and apply Incoterms, HSN Classifications, Duty Norms and international trade regulations
• Identify and manage risks related to international trade, including tariff fluctuations, exchange rate risks, and shipment delays
• Manage logistics for timely delivery of goods, including liaising with freight forwarders, CFS/DPD movements, e Waybills, shipping lines, and customs brokers.
• Improving Operational Cost Efficiency, Lead Times, Records Management, Vendors performance and Lead time Parameters.
• Documentation & records management for post clearance Customs Audits, certifications and Registrations.
• Reviewing & Correction of the Check list, HSN, Duties applied for filling Bill of Entries
• Contract Management with Forwarders, CHAs and Consultants etc.
• Stay updated on Indian customs regulations and international trade laws
• Negotiate with suppliers/vendors, RFQ comparison and Negotiation for cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards
• Guide and work with team for proper management of entire Exim operation and regulations efficiencies in day to day operations.
• Communicate with international clients and suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of goods and resolve any issues related to orders and shipments
• Daily & Monthly MIS preparation for import shipment status, Import cost and Lead time of shipments

Preferred candidate profile

• Relevant experience of Import/Export Management.
• Complete knowledge of HSN and Customs Rules/Process
• Good Communication Skills (Verbal & Written).
• Good Analytical skills
• Must have robust knowledge of SAP & Advance Excel
