Data Engineer (Pharma) - (min 5 years Experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer with expertise in Python, SQL, and Cloud Platforms (AWS & Azure) to join our team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have strong ETL experience, hands-on exposure to cloud-based data handling, and a deep understanding of DevOps tools. Pharma forecasting data exposure is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines for data ingestion and processing.
• Work with AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda) & Azure (Data Lake, Azure Functions) to handle large-scale data processing.
• Develop and maintain Python-based data pipelines using Pandas, NumPy, and Dash.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries across MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Implement DevOps best practices using Jenkins, Git, and GitHub.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage, analyze, and extract insights from pharma forecasting data (IQVIA MIDAS, KANTAR, GLOBOCAN preferred).
• Apply forecasting metrics such as incidence, prevalence, dosage, and therapy lines to enhance data accuracy.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5-7 years of experience in Python programming, specializing in data handling, ETL processes.
• Strong expertise in SQL for querying cloud-based data.
• Hands-on experience with AWS (S3, EC2, Lambda) & Azure (Data Lake, Functions).
• Familiarity with DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, GitHub.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Certification in AWS Solutions Architect / Microsoft Azure Data Engineer (preferred).
• Pharma data forecasting exposure (IQVIA MIDAS, KANTAR, GLOBOCAN) is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Location: Pune (Onsite & Non-Negotiable).
