VMC -CNC - Machine Maintenance Engineer

Experience in handling VMC machines with Fanuc Control. Makino machine experience will be preferred.

Job Summary: The VMC-CNC Machine Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) and CNC machines. This role requires a strong understanding of machine operation, mechanical and electrical systems, and troubleshooting procedures to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency in production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Maintenance:

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance on CNC and VMC machines to ensure optimum performance.
  • Conduct daily inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs of CNC/VMC machinery to address any mechanical, electrical, or software issues.
  • Diagnose machine malfunctions and take corrective action to restore equipment to operational status as quickly as possible.

• Troubleshooting & Repair:

  • Identify root causes of machine breakdowns and provide efficient solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Repair or replace damaged parts such as motors, bearings, drives, and electrical components.
  • Work with machine operators and production teams to understand equipment issues and ensure that machines are running effectively.

• Calibration & Optimization:

  • Calibrate CNC and VMC machines to ensure precise operation, including alignment, leveling, and adjustment of machine parameters.
  • Optimize machine performance by adjusting settings, software, and hardware configurations.
  • Perform regular testing to verify machine accuracy, quality, and consistency of production.

• Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and machine performance.
  • Prepare maintenance logs and reports, including recommendations for improvements or replacements.
  • Report on recurring machine issues and collaborate with management to address long-term solutions.

• Parts Management:

• Manage inventory of spare parts and ensure the availability of essential components for machine repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate with suppliers for parts procurement and handle the storage and organization of parts.
