Manager/AGM - Green Building Specialist

Role & responsibilities

1. Sustainable Building Design & Development:

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to incorporate green building practices into the design and construction of real estate projects.
• Analyze site plans and building designs to optimize energy efficiency, water use, and sustainable materials selection.
• Recommend innovative sustainable technologies and systems for new and existing projects.

2. Certification & Compliance:

• Guide projects through green building certification processes (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, WELL, Green Star, or other regional certifications).
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations and building codes.
• Prepare and submit required documentation for green building certification and environmental compliance.

3. Energy & Resource Efficiency:

• Conduct energy modeling and life-cycle assessments to evaluate project sustainability.
• Develop strategies to minimize energy consumption, carbon emissions, and water usage in real estate developments.
• Implement renewable energy solutions and oversee waste management and recycling initiatives.

4. Stakeholder Engagement:

• Work closely with developers, investors, and contractors to promote the adoption of sustainable practices.
• Educate clients and internal teams on the benefits and financial implications of green building strategies.
• Organize training sessions and workshops to raise awareness about sustainability in real estate.

5. Monitoring & Reporting:

• Track and report sustainability performance metrics, including energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste management.
• Conduct post-occupancy evaluations to measure the success of green building initiatives.
• Continuously assess emerging green technologies and update internal policies accordingly.

Preferred candidate profile

1. Education:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Sustainability, or a related field.

2. Experience:

• 3-7 years of experience in green building design, construction, or sustainability consulting.
• Proven track record of managing green building certification projects (e.g., LEED Accredited Professional, WELL AP, or equivalent).

3. Technical Knowledge:

• Familiarity with green building frameworks and standards (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, WELL, Passive House, etc.).
• Proficient in energy modeling software (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQUEST) and environmental analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of building materials, renewable energy systems, and sustainable design principles.

4. Soft Skills:

• Excellent project management and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset to develop practical sustainability solutions.

5. Certifications (Preferred):

• LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) or equivalent green building certification.
