Assistant Manager

Role & responsibilities

Design Development and Review:

• Develop and review artwork for packaging materials such as cartons, labels, and other materials in line with client requirements.
• Ensure designs meet technical specifications for printing, including bleed, color profiles, and resolution standards.

Pre-Press Operations:

• Prepare, process, and troubleshoot print-ready files using software like Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, and Esko.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure artwork compatibility with machinery and manufacturing processes.

Project Coordination:

• Liaise with internal teams to understand requirements and deliver designs that meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Coordinate with external vendors for specialized pre-press services when required.

Quality Assurance:

• Conduct pre-flight checks and proofing to identify and resolve design inconsistencies or errors.
• Monitor the quality of print outputs and suggest improvements to optimize results.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with the production, sales, and marketing teams to ensure alignment on design objectives.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on industry trends, new tools, and technologies to enhance the efficiency and quality of pre-press activities.
• Implement best practices to optimize design processes and reduce lead times.

Educational Qualification:

• Diploma or Degree in Printing Technology, Animation, Multimedia, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3-15 years of hands-on experience in designing and pre-press activities, particularly in packaging and printing industries.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, Adobe Photoshop, and Esko software.
• In-depth knowledge of pre-press processes, including color management, trapping, imposition, and file preparation.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
