Blast Furnace PCI Operation

Roles & Responsibilities for PCI Operation Blast Furnace.

Coal Mill and Raw Coal:

• Raw Coal Feed rate as per Grinding ability
• Consistently Monitoring and adjustment of Coal mill necessary Parameters
• Monitoring and Maintaining desired Raw Coal Stock
• Maintain sufficient raw coal & pulverised coal
• Maintaining Proper roller gap of coal mill for producing desired quality pulverised coal
• Desired quality of Pulverized coal to be maintained

Blast Furnace Operations:

• Proper filtration and Cleaning of Blast Furnace Gas
• Monitoring of Filter bags Lifespan
• Monitoring of Smooth working of DDS
• Monitoring of Purging system of DDS
• DDS Shutdown/Breakdown activities

Safety and Training:

• Training, Participation and motivation to employees to avoid any accident/incident
• Monitoring of Unsafe acts and Unsafe conditions and compliance with Safety observations
• Proper Housekeeping

Maintenance and Breakdown:

• Identification of Breakdown cause and rectification with the maintenance department
• Safe working during breakdown or shutdown activities
• Maintaining required manpower for smooth operation of shift

Documentation and Audits:

• Preparation of Required Documents
• Training and Internal Audits
• Audit completion (Internal/External)
