India Operations :
IRIS KPO Resourcing is a subsidiary of IRIS Software Group Ltd based out of 5th floor, Pottipati Plaza, Nungambakkam, Chennai, India. We are fully integrated with our UK entity in providing IT and ITeS solutions as global delivery centre. We do not have any other office in India.
Main Responsibilities :
- Platform Management : Oversee and manage Azure and Private Cloud platforms, ensuring their stability, security, and performance. Including working outside of standard contracted hours from time to time (e.g. to assist with a Major Incident or to implement out of hours changes).
- Monitoring and Alerts : Utilise monitoring tools to pro-actively identify and address issues. React promptly to alerts to mitigate risks and minimise downtime.
- 3rd Line Support : Provide expert support as a 3rd line engineer, handling complex issues and escalations efficiently.
- Proactive Support : Raise proactive support tickets to address potential problems before they impact the business.
- Customer Assistance : Assist in resolving customer support tickets, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
- Infrastructure Changes : Raise, plan and implement infrastructure changes to enhance the performance and security of the platforms.
- Availability Management : Ensure the high availability of hosting platforms through the use of robust monitoring and failover mechanisms.
- Security Management : Conduct regular security assessments and implement necessary protections to safeguard the integrity and confidentiality of data.
- Capacity Management : Monitor and manage the capacity of hosting platforms to ensure they can handle current and future demands without performance degradation.
- Backup and Recovery : Implement and manage backup and recovery processes to ensure data availability and integrity in case of system failures.
- Documentation : Maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes and procedures to ensure consistency and facilitate troubleshooting.
Qualifications and Experience :
- Technical Expertise : In-depth knowledge of Azure and Private Cloud platforms, including their management and monitoring tools.
- Support Experience : Proven experience in a 3rd line support role, with a strong track record of resolving complex technical issues.
- Proactive Approach : Able to evidence examples of pro-active identification and resolution of issues and recording via tickets.
- Problem-Solving Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and act swiftly.
- Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders and customers.
- Certifications : Relevant certifications in Azure and cloud management are highly desirable.
